Based on what''s listed in their 2008 catalogue, I compiled this report on what we may (or may NOT) see from
HobbyBoss in the coming year. The report can be seen:

Nice one Jim.
I have figured out if Trumpeter have released a kit Hobby Boss will normally follow suit and release it in a different scale.
I must admit to having a soft spot for Hobby Boss kits at the moment, and the railway related stuff looks interesting.

It's a real shame they decided to scale down the Trumpeter stuff to 1/72 instead of 1/48
Their 1/48 kits were really nice. Oh well...
But I'm very happy to hear the 1/35 news. I just hope they actually release some of those vehicles before 2008 is over!! Especially the V150... I've been wanting one for a long time.
Thanks

Ooooh! I really hope they come through and issue kits of the AAVs. Tamiya's kit could certainly use an update to the latest configuration. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for the best...

I do hope that the M706 gets produced. I just spent the first half of the year trying to locate the old Verlinden kit. Now that I have one it figures that a kit would be produced. Oh well, I'll take it as the composition of the Verlinden kit makes it rather limited and does not allow me to do what I wanted to do with it, hopefully this, if released, will.
My only question is why are they releasing it as an "improved" model, did they already have this kit on the market?
Thanks for the heads up!

No, they didn't already have it on the market.
Research, research, research.....M706 Improved means the M706 PI (Product Improved) version.....it was the production version of the XM706.....minor changes and upgrades from the original XM706.

Thanks for the reply. I thought I had researched it but I guess that fact escaped me. In any case Ihope that the model gets produced.

Aloha everyone!
Does anyone have an idea if the AAVPT series is going to be a rehash or a brand new kit? I'm currently working on their offering of the Leo 2A6EX and find it a really good copy so I suppose with that kind of work I wouldn't mind if it were a Tamiya rehash or not. Comments?
Thank you in advance!!!

Almost certainly clones of Tamiya kits with styrene copies of resin Hobby Fan conversion sets parts added.

Well, since no-one has actually seen the box-art (never mind the contents) just where is THIS coming from?
Don't tell me they also cloned the Bluebox/Nitto M4 HST? No, I didn't think so either...

The M4 looked like a solid piece of research and independant development - any reason to think that the comming kits will be anything else ?

Sorry for bringing this out of the past, but...
one of the items listed was a 1/35 FAV. Googling this I've found references to a FAV release going back to 2006 and it was listed on PMMS in Jan of this year. Does anyone know if one will really be released?
Thanks,

I'm really happy with the future releases of a AAVP7A1 with EEAK armor and the FAV.

Dosen't the M706 Vietnam kit already have all of the parts to build the M706 PI ?
Just like the V150 w. 20mm gun and V150 w. 90mm Megar gun kits?
Kinda wonder why they didn't just market them as two in one kits.
