Has anybody built this yet? Need some feed back, as I am considering buying one during the tax money spending spree.

These kits are not out yet, they are due to come out sometime before July if the rumor mill is correct.

Yes, neither of two kits is in production yet. The manufacturer's site, www.trumpeter-china.com , shows the sprue shots and box art once new kit is released. And yes the release date is reset further into the future.... again. Personally, I can't think of reason why this kit has been in development for 14+ months already.

Sorry thought it was out already. They need to get on the ball and produce this thing. I need a good BMP-3 kit for a project I am contemplating. Thanks for the heads up, and sorry for the touble.

I'd really like to know what the troop compartment on one of these bad boys looks like

Hey there Steve,
If you ever get the chance, head to Ottawa, and check out the War Museum there. On the lower floor they have a BMP-1 or 2 recon vehicle. It normally sits down there with the rear hatches open so you can see into the interior.
Let me tell you...there isn't a whole lot of room in one of those!!!!

Yea, I've been in a BMP-2 and it is pretty cramped, I don't know how the Russians could do it lol. But I've never seen an interior picture from a BMP-3 so it's something that's always interested me. I dug this up recently, dunno how accurate it is : http://img157.echo.cx/img157/912/bmp3cut6so.jpg

The concord book on the -3 has decent interior pics, more than enough to learn that neither the Skif or the AEF interior is at all close to complete, even when used together.
The old Eduard interior set is decent and dresses up the Skif parts fairly well, but there is a lot missing. The instructions may still be available as a PDF from www.eduard.cz even though the set is oop.
If I recall, there are other interior pics out there on the web, but I am at my work machine and cannot access them.
