I'm needing some VERY detailed reference on both of these support weapons.
1) Any of the official technical manuals
2) Scale plans (if any exist) in ANY scale
3) Details of the weapons in both firing and transport configuration.
4) The Vickers would be the water-cooled (jacketed) version. Details needed of the attachment of the water can etc.
5) Images of the weapons 'in-theater' particularly typical images of firing positions etc.
6) Any of the other ancilliary equipment (mortar-round transport containers etc.)
In fact, as detailed as it comes...
Thanks, in anticipation, Jim

Jim -
Do you need anything on a 6 inch trench mortar? I just found one on display at a courthouse in Tennessee this past weekend. I have a few pics and have found some reference material on line.
Semper Fi,
Dave

First of all, thanks for the help (both here and on ML).
I'm now, more or less, where I want to be with the Vickers and with the 3" Mortar, Alan, that link you posted was very useful indeed for the ammunition.
@David - tempting, but at the moment no - this is turning out to be an epic all on its own...

Hi Jim,
This is quite useful for the markings on the different types of bombs
