Hahaha It is funny to see that this topic came up again. It is a while ago I build this model.

For the mammoth I don't know a vehicle that already excist what you can modify for the mammoth tank.

Thanks for the comments!!

WoW nice work man...Now that is dedication to C&C. I think I am going to work on a Titan Mk. 1 from Tiberian Sun.

Beautiful job! Can anyone recommend a good base for the mammoth tank which I can modify? I'm not a scratchbuilder myself, but I'd like to do a Red Alert diorama, Hinds, MIGs, Yaks are okay, Medium tank can be an Abrams Tank, Light tank can be a Bradley, Heavy Tank is the same as Medium with Twin cannons, but I can't find a Tank which resembles the mammoth, and is ready to be modded...So, anyone knows a tank with double tracks and enormous body?
Thanks!

Sharp! Makes a world of difference with paint! Quite a unique vehicle you've got there.

Hello Gluesniffers,

Finally I finished the scratchbuild project, C&C Mirage tank. I hope you like the result. The base is kinda simple but I think that is good because the tank is much more in the focus of the eye.

Have fun!!

In the game I can not see how the colour of the player is on the vehicle. So I did my own thing. Still you see the grey paint through the red layer, so that mean I have to take my airbrush and spray the red areas. But it is the idea!

Then it comes up to the weathering stage!
Hope you like it.

This thing is awesome! You've really brought the game to life in scale with this model!

Great work!

Aaaaaaaaaand, the cloaking devices are almost completed except the details!
Then I have to scratch the back device and a hatch. Some details and I am finished with the build.

Hope you like it!

Your next build should be a Tesla Tank or even a Mammoth Mk.III from tiberian sun.

Oh man, do I feel bad for you. None of them compare to the first Red Alert when it came out. I remember playing multiplayer for hours upon hours on Westwood Chat. The good ol' tank rushes, sneeking engineers in an apc into your base and taking over all the buildings, harvester treaties... seems like yesterday. Those were the good old days boys.........

I first played Red Alert II 6 years ago, then started playing Generals Zero Hour 3 years ago- I am hooked! I was thinking about building a War Miner from an Opel Maultier

WOW this is so cool. I'm actually surprised at how many people on here know about Red Alert. I also dream of a Mammoth tank scratchbuilt. As far as the tracks are concerned I believe there was 4 sets like on the American T-28 Super Heavy Tank. I may be wrong though.

First of all I want to thank you all for the comments!!
I am going to build this one first and maybe I will build the tesla tank too in the furture.
This is one of the easiest models to make from the red alert scene. But it is a great fun!!!

Soon I hope I can build further on this little (yes, 1/72) beast

Quoted Text

Surely it would have been easier to build the Mirage Tank in it's disguised form?

Something like this perhaps?

All joking aside, this is a seriously cool project, I can't wait to see the finished project.

C+C has to be one of my favorare game good to see someone building mirage good luck.
