I'm in the process of assembling/painting two Korean vehicles. An Academy LVTP-7 and a Trumpeter K1-A1. As I'm looking at the instructions I'm getting confused about what colors to use. The Academy kit is all in Korean(?) and I have no idea what colors they call for.
The Trumpeter instructions call for dark yellow (45%), green (45%) with white (5%) and black (5%).
When looking at the photos (finished model) on the Academy box the colors seem to be a dark sand/light brown (45%) , green (45%), with light sand/yellow (5%) and black (45%).
I'm thinking about a dark sand/yellow (45%), green (45%), black (5%) with a light sand/white (5%).
I just need close matches using MODEL MASTER colors.
All opinions and information will be appreciated.

I believe this would be the same as Army MERDC camo of the 70's and 80's. Here's a [http://www.xs4all.nl/~gurth/afv/merdc.html]link[/url] to the correct colors with FS395a color codes.

I concur with AJ above. I use dark green and dark tan for the main colors and sand and flat black for the squiggles on the ROK vehicles I have done. They look right to me. Good luck.
