Dear all. After some of the replies on my Shermans, I decide to post this to describe how I got my shades of colours. This kit is the Tamiya Sherman Ic Firely straight from the box.
After assembly and priming, a coat of flat back is sprayed on for pre-shading.
When the flat back paint, a thin coat of a mixture of Dark Green (no. C23) and Sail Colour (no. C45), both from Gunze Mr. Colour, was sprayed on. Because the paint is thin, several coats were applied to gain the desired green shade..
The colour mixture is in the bottle next to the paint.
I have left the gun out as I need to consult the instruction sheet regarding the painting of the gun. When that is done, I will gloss coat the model and proceed with decaling, mud and detail painting, which I will post later. Hope you guys will like it.

The shade is still a bit dark initially. Several THIN coats is needed to get the correct shade. After that, a coat of gloss is sprayed and decals are attached with generous application of Gunze Sangyo Mr. Mark Softer.

Looks nice, but the inside of the hatches should be the same color as the outside. Better to fix now while you can.
