Aloha everyone!!
Getting ready to place that long overdue order and I've focused in on the Trumpeters LAV-25. From what you know of the kit which updates would be needed for this kit and which was would be the best? I've seen plenty of manufactures that produce resin wheels ( Hobby Fan, Accurate Armour, Cam Resin to name a few) but am not sure which one is the best. Is the kit supplied barrell good enough or would I need to replace it also? Etc Etc Etc......
I plan to build this as a USMC version.
Thank You in Advance!!!

It all depends on how much you want to add.....that's all very subjective.
The kit is pretty accurate overall.....be aware that not all aftermarket LAV wheels use the same hub and wheel bolt system as on the USMC LAVs.....do your homework....you might choose to use the kit wheels and tires in the end.
The barrel will depend if you want to use a smooth or fluted barrel...Barrel Depot makes both.
There are several PE sets....Eduard, Voyager, and Lion Roar.... just search for "LAV" on any major internet shop.
Echelon makes a great LAV decal set.
Both Legends and Verlinden make stowage sets.
Warriors has crew figures.
I would suggest finding a reference image of a USMC LAV 25 you want to base your project on and then using the reference your guide....modifications, paint, kit, markings, etc...
A search in the Armorama forums and the Modern and Constructive Comments forums on Missing Lynx will provide you with plenty of opinions and options.

Hi Kurt
Talking about Lav-25 Pe sets, just take a look at John Wilson's comparative review on WarWheels.net HERE
Like Jason says, base your project on a picture for reference and detailing (like for instance one showing a 2nd LAR Lav-25 in Kandahar )
