thanx all for the suspension problem solutions!
how about this - if a tank has just fired, does it mean that i simply shorten the barrel, or what? the barrel is that of a panther g.
thanx all

From the videos I've seen of tanks firing, to get the instant of firing you'd need to include the recoil, smoke from the gun and often a cloud of dust on the ground. A rather daunting task in a static display.

To be honest I don't think that it is a good idea of modeling the recoil action.

Like Al said, it would be difficult to pull off, lets say that you would shorten the barrel and somehow smoke, then I guarantee you that 95% of the people viewing your model would not understand it and see it as a mistake. If you would ever dare to take to a show then I promise you that they will put you to the ground.

Sorry

abeit as daunting as it sounds, im going to persist - it might be as hard as hell to do, but, if i can get something like the effect then ill be happy, annnddd itll probably persuade me never to try again!
