Another of my oldies and my first attempt at a Diorama with Snow and Ice.
Hudson and Allen slush and Verlinden Snow. The trees are Christmas items.

Comments welcome, more pictures coming.

Enjoy, Keith.

I like this, especially the dejected looking officer on the crate and the guys waiting behind them who seem to be saying, "Will you PLEASE hurry the up!"

The only thing that looks a bit off is the snow on the replacement tire.

I will defend myself a bit here, ref the wheel, what you see is, or could be, what was on the top of it when the soldier lifted it down from the stowage location on the side of the vehicle, or we could say it was what stuck to it during the movement down the lane...
But I can assure you no offence was taken by the comments. They do help us try to improve our work, keep 'em coming.
Keith.

Anyway here are a couple more shots.

There's a nice balance between elements on your diorama Keith, I really like the light setting you have been using too, what could i have make different? ah yes, more snow on the "tissue" above the vehicle because snow melts quicker on metal

Yes, it is one of the old 'Yanks' Figures if I remember correctly and the chap bringing him in is a DML figure on Snowshoes.

I seem to remember from my time in the North of Norway, only the Snow melting off of the engine, transmission and exhaust areas. As soon as the tracks cooled down it all froze to ice.
Indeed, we used to park our tracked vehicles (CVR(T)'s on cut down branches to stop them from melting the snow, sinking down and then freezing into the ice.

During movement, most of the snow would blow off of canvas, would it not???

Yes that's them. You can find them at many locations such as Lowes, Christmas shops, Sears etc. The trees come in different sizes.
I prefer to wait for the after Christmas sale and pick them up at bargain prices.

Clip off the little Red balls and add a touch more White from an aerosol spray can and your in business.

Thanks for your comments.

I will go out to my shed in the morning and check for you, I list the ones I use in my dio's.

But, you have Wolf, Hornet, DML and Warriors for certain. The wheel changing crew (3 including the officer) is from a British Company.

I will add the names tomorrow.

Thanks Alan, that's them...I have another set of them as well as many others from that company in my stash.

I am slowly working on a field kitchen and replen area using the figures in this range, along with others.
Another dio. that I have gathered figures and vehicles for is a medical area. Only time will tell if I will ever get them done.
