I'm planing to sometime in the future build Tamiyas Cromwell (again), and would like to do it with some aftermarket goodies. What I'm thinking about is first of all tracks and barrel, but perhaps also P-E. And also if there is a stowage set for it.

Also welcome is some pointers about crew figures for it.

Thankful for answers to this question.

Answering this really depends on what you want to do. By that I mean a tank as depicted by the stock kit with details added, a conversion to a different model, etc. Anyway a quick search from one of the online shops will yield results such as these:

1/35 Aber Accessories AB35060 Cromwell Mk.IV Detail
1/35 Aber Accessories AB35061 Cromwell Mk.I Conversion
1/35 Aber Accessories AB35092 Centaur C.S. Mk.IV

1/35 Voyager Model VYG35094 Cromwell Mk IV/Centaur CS Mk IV Detail Set
1/35 Voyager Model VYG35095 Cromwell Mk.IV/Centaur C.S.MkIV Fenders

See what I mean lots of choices. Personally I have used the Aber basic set, the MK tracks and one of the barrels (can not recall which it was). There are other sets I am just quickly giving you some idea of what is out there.

For crew again that depends on what you are doing with the tank and the time period. IE summer, winter etc. Ultracast has some nice Commonwealth crews for both summer and winter dress and I can recommend those as I have some.

Should get you started.

Always forget the details. Planing to do the kit as it is, with details added, and from Normandy.

At least now I have something to start with, thanks for the help. (may I ask what hobby shop you found this at?)

For a Normandy Cromwell, you'll need to convert it to a D Type hull or later version. The kit depicts a Type C. Many also had the later cupola with all-round periscopes instead of the fore and aft arrangement on the kit. These parts are available from Accurate Armour in the UK.

Sure I found that list at www.greatmodels.com but you can find that stuff at any good hobby shop too. www.spruebrothers.com is highly recommended and where I buy much of my supplies. Any of the shops advertising on Armorama should be able to get or stock those items so check around.

So, is the kit innaccurate? Since if comes with markings from Normandy as well as a Hedgerow cutter?
