hi all

whats the best way to model bushes covering a tank? i'd like to get the effect of bush/ shrubbery hanging/draped across my tank but dont know what to use - is lichen good enough? what else is best?

Lichen covered with herbs such as basil, cilantro, or parsley to act as the leafs of the bush.

lichen is good. Use spray adhesive and then sprinkle on parsley or herbs to represent leaves. Do this before putting it on the AFV.

Another option is to go to the local silk flower/dry flower shop. They have a bunch of small scale type of flowers used in silk/dry flower arrangements. Here in the US I would send you to Michaels Craft Store or AC Moores. Not sure what the UK equivalent would be.

Another tip... forget buying WOODLAND SCENICS colored lichen!

In Michael's Crafts Centers, Woodland Scenics lichen is like $8 per bag... but a few aisles over, in the floral dept, I found the SAME STUFF in BIGGER BAGS for about $4.00 per bag! Same color, same density, same EVERYTHING except the price!
