Hi,

I'm in the planning stage. I would like to have alternative tires for my V150 (Hobby Fan resin). Anybody know which company makes better tires? These are pictures of the actual tires, of different manufacturers, but similar vehicles Cadillac Gage/Truxton V300/V150. Can anyone tell what is the specs of the tire. Visually, I think they are about 44" in diameter.

These tires are relatively larger compared with that of the USMC LAV-25.

Hi Johnny

As some of the pictured tires are Michelins 14.00R20 "X"-series tires, take a look at the chart HERE for Michelin tires specs, you should find what you're looking for..(the overall diameter is 49.4" or 49.5" depending on the tire model : XL, XML or XZL.). Michelin 14.00R20s are used on M923A1 and M939A1 & A2 series of trucks. Several AM wheel sets are available from various manufacturers like Hobby Fan or MR Model...

Check out Pawel Krupowicz's review of some 1/35 14.00R20 tire-fitted wheels sets

Thanks, Frenchy. They look like 14.00R20 tires.

Does Maple Leaf Model moulds this tire size? MLM1001 would be smaller at 325/85R16.

Which tires did the AVGP used (Grizzlys, Cougar)?

What I don't like about the hobbyfan tires is that you still need to carefully clean their resin moulding mount. I'm looking for the alternative where the threads would be full profile.
Real Model looks promising.

They are fitted with the same 325/85R16 tires.
