Oh i like it!! you see that's the play with colours i really like here, the green of the house and the yellow of the tank that's really what jump to the eye. The composition is really nice as well.
The choice of such a high and huge base is a bit odd at first but is finally quite okay.
really i appreciate more and more your fine ideas and your originality, you really stand out from the crowd

Wow, that is truly stunning, even more so when you take into account the scale. I love the figures and the building and the Maus is the icing on the cake.

Hi Guy,

I can only concur. You really did a fine job considering the scale.
Perhaps you could vary a bit the colours of the stones at the side of the stairs. More grey tones, a wash etc..
idem for the lower part of the house. I think the dio would profit from it.

Cheers

JBA : the base is high indeed. There is a reason for it : it gives me the opportunity to show this diorama in the back ground of my display and place a lower diorama before it.
At the beginning I had my doubts too about the hight of it, but now I'm quite satisfied with it.
I'm glad you noticed the colour setting house / tank. The composition turned out well at the end, but I had to puzzle a lot before I found the ideal combinations. Thanks very much for your encouraging reply !

Mclen69 : thank you, these words will give me a boost for the next project !

AJLafleche : I did the best I could, thank you !

Keith : my eyes almost dropped out of my head, it was a torture but now I'm quite happy with it ! Thank you !

Claude : I can try to give it a bit more variation, but washes and different tones were already added. May be the lense of the camera did not properly registrate this. But I'll certainly check it out again. Thank you too mon ami !

Scott : when I paint a figure, I always try to complete it as much as possible. I really like painting these details such as the shoulder boards and helmet insignia...completing the weapons with slings gives me the opportunity to create some action (running).
When I paint 1/72 figures I need all of my concentration (quite Zen you know), I get soaked up in a way. Do you recognize this ? Thank you for your reaction mate !

I think these are some of the best 72nd scale figures I have ever seen; the Maus is good but the men steal the show

Bart, Jim, thank you guys !

But there's something that needs my attention :
The fallen soldier's gas mask must be completed with a canvas sling over the shoulder.
That's a small detail work for tomorrow, don't we have the most lovely hobby ?

This immediately caught my eye in the first photo Guy...
Just kidding mate.
I love the way that the elevated steps are used by the soldiers and add another level of action and movement. Man, this could have good commercial value as I can see similar figure positions but a Sherman, with the Germans using their height to advantage?
Great stuff

Wow 1:72!! I'm just as blown away as everyone on the detail you've gotten on the figures! Hats off to you.
The entire diorama is impressive and even more so in such a small scale.
Cheers,

Dusting the shoes and adding a gas mask strap.

Thank you again for your attention friends !!! G.

Looks great. I assumed it was 1/35th because of the detail. I am amazed it is 1/72nd. Great job.
