Hi all
I would like to share a few pictures from a new 1/35 scale Russian diorama I'm working on (also posted on the benelux forum with somemore pics):
"26.04.42 Railway complex Tula - Eastern Front, 200 km south of Moscow"
Shown is the massive russian armored train Kozma Minin - ready to take a new load of coal. Still need a lot of work on the figures though,
Hope you like it.
Johan

forgot to say .. the real photograph above came from the internet and was a source of inspiration. It does show a different armored train, not the Kozma Nimin.

Interesting subject!
I looked at your pics over on benelux and have to say that i'm impressed. Great work!
please take the time to post the pics over here also. I think it's easier and you won't regret it.
Thanks
Claude

Hi all,
like to share some more pictures of what I did the last couple of days : made the coal containers which were lifted by the railway crane. They are more or less finished apart from a bit of paint and pigments. Made from lead foil and plastic/metal parts.
I hope you like it

Hi all
Phase 1 of the diorama is finished with the armoured train. Several figures were added, the crane has a proper hook, etc... and I started to work on the phase 2, a smaller diorama-extention, which will encompass a sand tower to provide the steam engines with dry sand to improve traction/brake on slippery tracks. Here is an overview of the space allocated to the diorama,
Cheers

Johan, that's some beautiful work. I like it alot !!!!
Keep going, the beauty part of this is that it dosen't take up alot of space area wise. You could make quite a large dio [ in modules ] that would only take up linear feet. A great " up against the wall " build on a shelf or something.
I want more !!!
