I know that I should post it in Constructive Feedback forum, but I think some of you who don't frequently visit that forum might be interested to see this particular model

I decided to build my DML halftrack as early test vehicle, but I don't plan to super detail or accurize it. So I only made minimal modifications to represent early vehicle. I used Hussar directional thread wheels and removed the jerrycan holders from cab walls. I also removed springs from idler mounts. I used Archer transfers for dashboard instrument faces and placards and will also use their blue drab registration numbers. Of course the model is far from finished.

Pawel-- you did a nice clean job on this M2. Look forward to seeing your work on the interior and specifically what pe/after-market products you will use.
thanks

No PE other than what's in the kit and no other aftermarket parts other than Husar wheels and Archer transfers. It's AOOB build - "almost out of the box"

Hum?... No one noticed yet? Nothing unexpected on those photos? Look closely... and don't cheat by checking Missing-Lynx forum

Jeez! You got given an advance sample of the M3 didn't you?

Can you get the Hussar wheels in Poland by the way?

I wish... No, unfortunately not. Let me save some typing and copy my post from ML:
"My post was a sort of a test - how quickly anyone would notice that it is an M3, not M2

But unfortunately it doesn't mean that the kit is available or will be available soon... I thought however that you would like to see how (more or less) it's going to look like. My model is composed of parts from M2/M2A1 kit and test shot sprues for M3/M3A1. Those are however these same early (first?) test shots that were displayed at EuroMilitaire 2006. I got a set of them back then and recently decided to do something with them while I wait for the release of the final kit. That's also why I decided to do something unusual - a test vehicle. I'll build more usual configurations from the final kit when it's out. Recently my DML contacts told me that they are still in the process of fine tuning the kit and didn't want to provide any more details or release date...

These test sprues I used lacked some features (e.g. no non-skid pattern on troop compartment floors - I added it with Archer "Surface Details" decals) and some detail parts were missing. I also noticed some minor inaccuracies in the layout of interior, but as these were such early test parts it is likely that this is already corrected. But otherwise the kit was already fully buildable from these early parts. They included practically all parts to build M3 or M3A1, tooled in a similar fashion to those in M2 kit, e.g. with mines molded integrally with mine racks. It is a little strange that DML delayed the release of it so much. Maybe the sales of M2 kits were much smaller that they expected?"

I ordered from Canada. Rossagraph were a Polish distributor of Hussar products, but I'm not sure they still are in business? Rossagraph shop that we visited together disappeared some time ago.
