You won't i'm afraid. The solution is scratcbuilding although you could begin with modifying something like an Opel Blitz chassis to give the length. As I think you're looking for Berlin-type buses (double deckers) perhaps if you start a Google search about buses and public transport?

thanks Jim,
now i at least i have pics with multiple views and angles to go by. i can't believe no companies have made these, i guess combat vehicles take top priority.

thanks for your help,

Hi Gary

As Jim has already pointed out it's scratch building or nothing. The only thing that comes anywhere close that I've seen is this from Leadwarrior

http://www.leadwarrior.com/Lw35026.htm

It's hardly much I know, and certainly not a double decker but it may help if you change your plans to something smaller.

I saw a bus recently on a diorama here but I'm sure that was scratch built, maybe using a Blitz, outside a garage, very well done scene. Did you see it ?

EDIT. This one

Hi

The kit shown in in my link to the garage scene, although the creator of the scene did say it needed a lot of work.

Lots of single decker buses and trolly buses on this site including an unusual articulated lorry with bus trailer if you could not find a double decker. All the double deckers I looked at seem to be more modern unfortunately.

Some of the 3-axle buses pictured there remind me of the Vomag 88 FlaK Waffenträger (1/35 resin kit made by Wespe Models) :

which was based on a civilian bus chassis...

Gary,
I have a paper model of a 1932 style London bus, which you may be able to scale up and use as a template - file is 14Mb, so I don't know if it is easily e-mailed

I could probably "save as" jpgs and post, if you are interested

No probs,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Glad to have been a help! I was browsing on Evil Bay looking for Landrovers in 1/24 Scale but to no success, so had time to spare to browse.

Good luck with your build. Any hints as to what the build will contain?

Yep, i found a great picture with the front blown off of several buildings and a huge crater bombed into the street with the rear end of a bus sticking up in the air. it will be the largest dio (with the exception of the factory one i am working on) that i have done to date.

I thought you were looking for a mainland european bus. If you had said UK I would have passed these on as these are probably just what you need.

Silly bugger me. I should have realised with these famous pics of buses down holes.

You will probably need to scratch build in plasticard although they can be found in HO scale (1/72 or 1/76) from model railway stockists. You could buy one and use it to help scale up to 1/35 scratch with the plans for checking.
