hello all,
who might be interested in a Korean War Campaign.it will cover all area's for the Korean War.the start date would be June 25,2009 and run for 8 months.
the rules are simple, any armor, figure, aircraft or navel unit is allowed.
this should be a good campaign as you can model leftover WW2 equipment and also you get to model the newer stuff that came out during the war.you could build a T34/85 or a M4A4E8.you could model a MIG-15 or a Super Sabre.you could model the Marines at the Pusan Perimeter or Chinese infantry attacking the Aussies
so what does everyone else think?
cheers,
Bruce

Sounds great, but why is the start date more than a year away? Anyway, a cross forum campaign could be fun including AFVs, figures, aircraft, and ships. Great idea.

I am on!

hello Jasper,
i have to many campaigns going on for the next year.there is the round down for the next 18 months:i am running or i am the XO of 5 campaigns.i am enlisted in 12 campaigns.
plus i have to repaint my house and install a 20x80 Mobile home for my 25,000 book collection/workbench area plus find the room for all my unbuilt models, which is now 100+.
i also just got a compressor and i need to decide what airbrush to get.

if you want to do this campaign and get it started early,go for it.i just thought that a campaign that is not WW2 would be a nice change.
cheers,
Bruce

Did some checking around and the best suggestion is to run the campaign under Modelgeek with all areas cross referenced. That way you can cover land, sea, air and figures.

hello MarkM,
i am going to submit the campaign on Model Geek, right?

this campaign will cover all areas of the Korean War,to include Armor/Aircraft/Ships/Military Figures/Civilian Figures/Railroads/Military Vehicles/and Civilian Vehicles.
so what this means that anything used in Korea during the War years 1950-1953 is allowed.unless the builders want it,i am going to disallow units based in Japan.

Now i need some one from each sites to help me run this campaign,IE:a builder from Aeroscale to keep an eye of the Aircraft builders, a builder from Model Geek to keep an eye on the Vehicle/Railroad builders, etc.

This is going to be a large Campaign and a fun one.and if i get enough modelers to help,we can start it this year.

So please let me know what everyone thinks.
cheers,
Bruce

Sounds like a great idea, Bruce, count me in. Historical/accuracy I won't be much help but if you need a hand with the 'paperwork' side of things or anything else let me know

hello James,
as i do not think i have an Armor XO,would you like to do it for me?you will be incharge of all the modelers doing any builds found on the Armorama site.in other words if they build a T-34/85 or a 105mm howitzer, you will keep an eye on the progress of the build.
i have others that are doing the same for me on 2 sites.this will give me time to keep an eye on all the sites.

this campaign will be submited this sunday on Model Geek.
cheers,
Bruce
