Is this really just a BMP-1 and has anyone built it?

Ok cool so then it would basically be just a Chinese copy of the BMP-1. I didnt know if it had some hull shape differences or something like that. I'm by no means an expert on BMPs so I didnt really know.

DO NOT BUY THIS KIT! I cannot stress this enough. This Trumpeter kit will only give you tears. I have looked it over and I would not spend $1 on it. Really.
The whole thing is a very, very poor copy of the DML kit, with HORRIBLE suspesion, tracks, idler and sprocket (due to motorization). All the detail is REALLY soft and there are issues with the turret.
You are much better off buying a DML or Esci/ERTL/AMT kit.
I know I sound rather crazed about this, but this will really save you tears. This would be a good kit for a 6 year old to build and play with on the living room floor...but it is no scale model.

Thanks Jaques, I have the chance to buy one for $7 and figured it would make cheap addition to my DDR collection. I'll hold out for something better!
