I hope this is an appropriate forum for this question. I am going to scratch-build a group of large wheeled (10x10) logistics vehicles (okok they -could- be mounted with guns *grin*. @ the least they'll all have MGs on ring-mounts), and I'm going to try using LEGO tyres. They appear to make one that would work out to about 22 inches wide by about 5 feet in diameter, in HO-1/87, which would be fine for what I'm trying to model (freelancing, here, no prototype).
My question is: before I go order 200-odd tyres and hubs from LEGO (very reasonable, too, since they have such enourmous volume...only about 50$ for the lot), can anybody tell me if I'm about to make a horrible mistake. That is will they just look awful? From my experience with my grandson's LEGOs, they seem like they would work just fine.
Thanks!
