Hello,comrads just kidding
Well I am intending to build a T62
Already have a Tamiya one
got the Mig burned out wheels
and some fruils
but I was wondering, who sells some interior and engines, pe, nice build reports, ect
I know, I know,do some searching and you'll find..
but i'm lazy, bussy, and frankly, I know that some here can tell me what I want to know, in a second
and it would save a fellow modeler a lot of time (witch I can use to finish my Factoria )
thanks already for reading this topic

Verlinden has a lot of what you want, T-62 interior, burnt out T-62 conversion, etc. Not perfect, but neither is the Tamiya T-62.
T-62 engine is the same as the T-55 and if you cannot find a good T-62 PE set, one for the T-55 will help somewhat. Do be carefull with T-55 stuff as Tamiya's T-55 is accurate at 1/35 but the T-62 (a much older kit) is 1/32 and it is noticable.
Go to someplace like Greatmodels.com and search T-62...you will see a lot of what is available.
Now, if you want to do different T-62 versions, you can see what is available at my website (SAAMMODELS) just click on my banner.

SIGH.
(I think it was a little tongue in cheek)
Can I be nice to him Gary? I DO understand your frustration with some of the less motivated modellers who come on here, but if some of us like to help out anyway, do we need the negative remarks? It may be possible, through my answers, we get another interested "RED" modeller who won't need extra motivation in the future.

Well there are 2 sets from CMK for T-55, interior and engine set.
For a good T-62 wait for the Trumpeter that are coming soon.

Don't waste the CMK sets on the T-62. Go to discountmodels.com -you can find some stuff there for relatively cheap.
(BTW Gary, he clearly wasn't very serious about that remark. Blowing it out of proportion, and reacting like that was uncalled for, leaves a sour taste in everybody's mouth. It was a very unfriendly move. To say the least. Please stay civil as long as possible. It usually breaks down anyway in the history forums. If you don't want to help, don't. You don't have to.)

Wow I'm shocked
All I wanted was some quick thinking, share things, I know I have to be fairly carefull of what I say, so why you are being so disrespectful of me ?Are you my maker? A community runs on mutual exchange of what we know, and not on dissing people because they're honnest.
I guess you will rather help someone who lies to you (just to make your ego feel good)
Thanks to all for the other more constructive comments, looking forward to the Trump version, hope it's better in the dimensions of the turret, and hull,..and my costly fruils fit
the kit only cost a 3th of the tracks

Hey, I'm busy...can someone take out the garbage for me? I have to finish a model.
I didn't really catch the subtle tongue-in-cheek joke either, but hey, maybe the emoticons weren't in the right place
To answer your question, if you really want to build the Tamiya kit, you might as well just get the Verlinden stuff. Save the good stuff for the Trumpeter kit, if in fact it will be any better - we don't really know for sure, do we?
Using my real name,
Jim

It's not political correctness, and it's definitely not "I'm tough, I say what I think". It's just common decency. If you see something that you don't like, you have a choice. You can be polite, and tell him to go an search for himself, or you can let it go, let others handle it, or you can behave like a, well, I really don't want to call names here. These are your options. Jumping on every little thing that you think is offensive, sorting people out does not make you a John Wayne-like superhuman who doesn't care about the rest of the world. It just makes the tone of conversation a bit more unpleasant than it has to be. If you honestly look into it, most of the questions here could be answered by simply a google search, yet people patiently explain over and over how to apply washes, how to use an airbrush, and so on. This is the name of the game.
Anyway, I'm riding into the sunset.
Over and out.

Well said and my feeling exactly.
BACK on topic, I agree that I would not throw too much money into the Tamiya T-62 just yet unless you do not want to wait for the Trumpeter kits, assuming they come and assuming they are more accurate.
Also, don't let this get you down too much if you decide to build the Tamiya kit anyhow...there are a LOT of Tamiya T-62's out there and with work they can be made to LOOK really good, even if they are not an accurate 1/35.

Whew... Some very touchy hair trigger temper folks on here, but actually, it's fairly typical for internet message boards...
All I saw was a little self-deprecating humor and the clear recognition that someone would likely be able to direct the OP in the right direction right away.
Sure, I do intenet searches for the aftermarket products I might be able to use, but I regard the input of knowledgeable and helpful modelers with practical experience with the aftermarket items as more enlightening.
Anyway, reading the helpful bits of this thread with interest. Anyone know when that Trumpeter T-62 is due, if ever?
I have a few Tamiya T-62s stashed away in the garage, but have been holding off waiting for that Trumpeter kit. Years ago, I tore a page out of Time or Newsweek that had a photo of a Russian-crewed Tajik T-62. Had Tajik flag markings on the turret and appeared to be numbered "010" in black numerals. Would be an interesting build...

The only reason I have the Tamiya kit is that the Verlinden update looks really good. The only problem is that I'm not willing to pay 60 bucks for an incorrect AM set for an incorrect kit...

OFF
I would like to tell you something. Not one of us took any sides in this little discussion -neither yours or his. You have made a lapse of judgment posting the first post as it was. This error was unnecessarily escalated into a conflict by another member. You should have apologized for creating this misunderstanding at that point (even though his response was out of line as well). Instead you chose to provoke him, and escalate this situation even further. This is not good. Think of him what you want, but the conversation should always be civil. Just because someone behaves like a douche bag, does not mean you have to, as well. Every bit of your real or perceived moral or intellectual superiority goes down the drain as soon as you get into the mud-throwing.
That said, it seems like that certain member accidentally sent the following message to my mailbox, instead of this topic. I think it's worthy reading, and I found it important to share it with you, even though it will not help smoothing the nerves here.
I don't think it merits any comments. I forwarded it to the moderators as well.

Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy
Look, I could care less what you think the level of civility should be. I get really board with you liberal crybabys. I dindn't address anything to you, then you wanted to butt in with your crap. It's people like you with all your whining and less than steller posts that disrups these boards. Why don't you take up a hobby that fits your personality, like knitting or needlepoint. Unless you have something really germain to the subjest, which I doubt you can come up with, stay out of my threads.I know you have a problem with English, so I hope you can understand this.
