hi all
thanx all for all the previous help you have given, and here i am to bother your brains with another question.!So here goes..
On the dio i am doing, i have one side (the right hand side) which is a long hedgrow, with a ditch infront of it. Now, i know you can buy 'pre made' ones (hedgerows), but these are very square and im after a more natural look. Should i just add to it with lichen or is there a way of scratch building one....its about 13 inches long.
thanx everybody, any help is always greatly appreciated.

I think that Lichen with parsley and that sprayed with an Airbrush would do the trick. I have seen guys making a real convincing hedgrow that way

For this hedgerow I built it up with packing styrofoam then covered it with celluclay then grassed it (static). The hedgerow is twigs covered with lichen sprayed with spray adhesive then I sprinkled parsley over them. I made each push off the diorama because the spray glue goes everywhere then I planted each one by drilling a hole in the base and inserting the twig.

great pic, great diorama slodder. I had the idea of adding lichen to my existing hegderow at random, then as suggested adding parsley. I thought if i add it at random, making some quite bushy parts etc it might look more natural - yknow, the kind you get around fields or farmland?

its probably going to be called 'under the old oak tree' and it depicts the lone panther of ernst barkmann who destroyed 9 of 14 shermans outside St Lo, normandy, 1944. His tank was damaged in the fight but he managed to ifnish the job and reverse all the way back to his lines. Itll show his tank, a bit beaten up firing on the shermans. The place is apparently called 'barkmanns corner'.
hope it turns out well.
