I will see if I can find any pictures in the Panzer Colors books I have after the weekend...
PzC I, page 3: Baglike thing (tent ?) hangeing on front, bag hanging in right rear side (Libya, early 1941).
PzC II, page 12: a helmet, jerrycan and a stowage bag over the rear (pic taken on Balkans (Greece ?)..
PzC II, page 66: a helmet (Russia 1943).
PzCIII, page 10: Again baglike thing (tent ?) hanging from front. Stowage box on right front fender.. (Russia, date unknown, Dark Grey paint used).
PzC III, page 13: stowage bags and boxes on rear, stowage on right side, just before fender (?). One with stowage between welded-on extra armor plate (triangular consruction, gape between nose and rear of structure about 0.5 to 0.75 wheel diameter) and nose of vehicle again tent ?), and a bag. Both from LAH in Greece, 1941.
PzCIII, page 22: no visible stowage (from "Florian Geyer", when still a brigade)...
None of the stowage was excessive (the stowage on those of LAH was the most)...it was all rather sparse... Also, according to PzC I, crews in Russia, especially in the Southern sector, sometimes applied stripes/coats of mud over the vehicle (which were painted Pazer Grey) to provide additional camouflage in the Rusian planes, as Panzer Grey kind of stood out.
