Hello
A few days ago I bought Academy kit "M113a3 Iraq 2003". In a box I found two different decals but in instruction they didn't write what unit use this M113.
Maybe somebody can explain me decals below:
at front "1-2-3A" + "HQ35"
on sides "GY"
Thank You
Chris

Any way you can scan the decals and show us. But off hand, it could be the original Academy M113 decals.

This is what it says in the review from the sight that Steve got the picture of the decal from:
The first letter looks like an "I" but I guess it's supposed to be a "1".
"Finishing options are provided for two "generic" US Army vehicles in Iraq, 2003: however, both have bumper codes and therefore can be identified. One is an artillery survey team track, HQ-35, from 2-3 Artillery Battalion, 1st Infantry Division; the other is an armored ambulance from HQS Company, 2-7 Infantry Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division. Both are finished overall in Iraq sand."

Pete,
The decal is missing the 1 that should precede the "I" an dshould really read 1-I-2-3FA or 1I-2-3FA... I believe that the 2-7 medic track should be 3-I-2-7IN vice how it is printed on th esheet. I will check some refs tonight (I am at work and relying on brainpower... A dangerous option). I am not sure of the HQ 802 bumper number and will check that also.

I recently received my copy of it. It looks pretty good. It has most of the A3 upgrades, but missed others; like the added front glacis armor plate and driver's steering yoke as opposed to laterals. Additionally, only the mis-marked 2-7 IN track should nave the side racks; only 2 BDE, 3 ID had them. Also, the racks are too tall, they should only be four rails high and should have rails on the bottoms as well, not solid plate.
2 BDE, 3 ID M113A2 w/side racks.
