This is my OIF dio, wich has changed many times, bu tthis will be the final layout:
The guy on the ground is supposed to be dragged by the guy behind him.
Please, all comments are welcome.
I was thinking about naming it "Honour to the Brave" or "No Man Left Behind"

The idea is great, but the Trumpeter figures are quite bad. I bought the kit but I decided to use only the weapons in the OIF dio that I´m doing. If you can get it I recommend you two kits from Verlinden, one is ref 2359 "Kicking in Doors Iraq", and 2177 "Figure Conversion Set Modern Us Iraq-Afghanistan". With those kits you´ll get the soldiers kicking the door and enough pieces to scracthbuild the soldier lying on the floor and the other who is pulling him. Take a look at them.

Thanks Luis!
But I think I'll stay with the Trump figures, their fairly good, if you re-scpult them.

Is it really so bad, that no one wants to comment?

It has potential. I think we all need to see a little more progress first.
Here are few observations so far:
Even in a high risk situation as in the one you're depicting, it takes two to clear an initial room. Ideally four. As crass as it sounds, current practice is to let your buddy administer self aid while you return fire, until the immediate threat is suppressed. Dragging your buddy out of harms way sounds noble, but ultimately takes two shooters out of the gunfight. As for the building-not bad. But one like you have is generally made up of very loosely mortared concrete blocks, and then covered with a thin coating of concrete. After the hits that it has taken, those blocks would certainly show through.
The floor needs rebar. The Hesco remnants (if that's what it's supposed to be) are real enough. The stuff is everywhere.
So...Try to have at least one more guy stacked on the door. He'd be the first one in, followed by the breacher. Another guy pulling security would be nice as well.
We have a saying: If you don't know what else to do, pull security.

I think it is pretty darn good. If I was to view this in completion I would think that they are not just clearing a room but trying to get out of the line of fire. You have one wounded soldier already so where they are is unsafe. Soldiers or Marines would try to pull a guy out of harm's way as opposed to letting him get shot up on the ground. The way I see it is the action is starting, the soldier has just been hit, one soldier is returning fire while the other is trying to get some protection (via the room that he is kicking in the door) for everyone. I can't wait to see it completed.

Thanks, both of you guys.
Yeah, I meant it to be like the guy kicking in the door is desperately trying to find a way for his mates to get out of the line of fire, 18bravo, would this be correct? Or would I have to add another guy near the door?
Thanks

hey eaglesmack......I'm pretty sure that 18bravo nows what he's talking about, because it sounds like he is currently (or has in the past) served in Iraq. So, I'd give a little bit more credit to what he says.....just a thought.
btw, besides the technical aspects 18bravo mentioned, its looking good.

I am not taking credit from nor disparaging 18Bravo. What he says is true...when you are clearing a room you have at least a man or two to the side. One man kicks the door and the other two clear and check the room. I was a Marine so I know a little about this as well and I have been in combat. What is missing here that leaves much up in the air as to what is going on. If it is a typical raid then 18 Bravo is correct. More guys need to be in position to clear. However if this is a patrol and....BOOM...soldiers or Marines are taking fire men are going to scatter. Kicking in a door for cover is not out of question. Dragging a man out of the line of fire is not out of the question either. Many soldiers and Marines have been dragged out of the line of fire and Iraq is no different than any other conflict.

Yup, EagleSmack has it right, it was a patrol, suddenly they are under fire, two guys quickly start breaching a house for cover, the other guy (the one wounded) provides cover, then gets hit, one of the breaching guys goes back to get the wounded guy, and they are still both shooting. Now I don't know if it is possible to fire an M4A1 like that, so maybe someone can shed some light on that?
Some minor changes: I bent the breaching guys leg a bit and also bent it inwards by 45 degrees as pointed out on another forum.
Hopefully, if I get more supplies next week, I can finish the other guys and then (Hopefully )....Painting!
But let's cross that bridge, when we come to it.
Cheers guys!

hey eaglesmack......I'm pretty sure that 18bravo nows what he's talking about ...
Not really. I'm just a SFAUC instructor with two combat tours.
Ultimately, whatever makes you happy in your dio is what matters.
