There is the Blast Models conversion and several companies do a Jumbo Turret but there is no other plastic Jumbo apart from the Tamiya one. Sorry

Thanks a lot, I found the Tamiya one has a wrong-sized turret,, so if there is other turret I can choose, that would be great

There is also the Tankworkshop and Azmiut resin. The Blast set is VERY nice, it can be expensive.

This is one of my favorite tanks as one of the 5 last remaining ones is located (relatively) close by at Camp Ripley, MN. I have a website with photos I have taken: http://milveh.tripod.com/Pictures/wwiivehicles/jumbo/index.htm
All sets have their problems. Blast is the best, with Tank Workshop close behind. Not sure about Azimut, and the Verlinden one is not so great. Tamiya has problems, and the Italeri/Revell kit I have not seen but no one discusses it seriously so maybe it was a Tamiya rebox?

The Italeri "Jumbo" wasn't a Jumbo tank. It was the regular Italeri M4A1 kit but instead of the cast hull sprue, they included the M4A3 upper hull that came with the M36B1 Jackson tank destroyer kit. I had one while living in Germany (88-90) and remember giving it to Nate "Porkchop" Phelps way back then.

DML is supposedly working on one in 1/72nd scale, perhaps they will upgrade it to 1/35th as well.

Chris,
Great sets of photos. Thanks for the link. Really interesting is the time span. Is this volunteer work like the SAC museum?

Tank Workshop do/did a conversion set for the Tamiya kit which included a new nose as well (Tamiya forgot that was up-armoured too), sadly the turret still wasn't right. This leaves either the Blast kit or scratchbuilding.

No volunteers, all paid, full time staff. The only volunteers are the tour guides.

What exactely is wrong with the Tank Workshop turret? Last I looked the Blast kit was approaching $85 where as the Tank Workshop is something like $55 which makes it more compelling. But if the turret is so wacked out then maybe that's a deal killer.
