Ok
after a few weeks work I decided to show my progess towards my knocked out T55, for my OIF diorama. Its still in the early stages.
Using the folling items to produce this model:
CMK T55 interior (resin)
MIG T55 knocked out update set (resin
Eduard T55 phot etch
Tamiya T55
Model kastern tracks
The roof of the turret
The turret interior
The turret parts together
The tank interior
The engine bay
View through the tank body
The rust was created with a rusting agent called instant rust, followed by Mig pastels in rust colours, black smoke and copper rust.
I will post more as I go
Cheers

Keith,
Looks outstanding so far. Is the rust stuff something new or have I just not heard of it till now? Again outstanding work so far.

Very convincing work Keith. Can't wait to see what you have in store for the outside.

Ok guys thanks for the kind comments, I know its a shame to use the resin interior like this, but it was the best way for me to produce an interior with out a full scratch build, and i wanted to build this for fun.
so some more pictures of where I am currently at,
The round impact side, done with a dental burr in the old dremel tool
A complete top view of the fule tanks side (from the MIG kit)
top view from the impact side
Front view
rear view
turret view
bottom of the turret (a lot of filler required to get the CMK turret base to fit)
The rear of the turret
side of the turret
The turret and base together
You can see the extra filler that went into this to get all the parts to match, the side skirt was made from foil off a takeaway food tin. different sized wire was also used to create the fuel lines, cable runs etc.
almost ready to paint.
cheers
