Everything went sooner then I thaught

There willbe more washes and rainmarks. The emty place above the ammo will be filled with the rations/water etc. boxes i got emailed today. Many thanks again. The light spots on the front of the cupola will go away after more weathering. I couldn't make good pics from the weathering. I will make better ones this week.

Looking really good Lars, reminds me of the 1st AD Abrams that guarded the main road at Baghdad I'ntl Airport in '03.

Lars,

Great build, I have an Abrams I'm SLOOOOWLY working toward completing. I like the stowage straps you've done, it's an extra item that adds to the realism. I always find the different stowage items interesting, it looks like you added a case or two of BAWLS and Red Bull energy drinks it's the first time I've seen those. Again, looks good and keep posting!

Thanks guys. And Wolfe.. again thanks for these printable boxes.

Maybe I´m gonna add more straps to the net. Making it is very easy. Take some wider tape, get a long piece, put that on wood or whatever, and then cut with your hobby knife some very thin strips from it. They glue automaticly to your tank.

i like the camo scheme youve done is it for bosnia or kosovo from instructions maybe? What do you mean with that?

And as far as I know these Abrams tanks aren't used in Bosnia or Kosovo. Humvees do. But I thaught they were in 1 tone woodland camo. Dragon delivers the best Abrams tanks on the market today, and I thaught I heard you wanna make a Marine version? If so, you have to replace the grenade launchers to the marine ones. The new Tamiya Abrams has them.

Nice job on the camo. For a harder outline I suggest you use uhu white tack(youknow that stuff to stick posters). BTW very nice modeling. You model better than me when I was 13 (im 15).

Thanks! I have also the cheaper version of Tamiya tape and gonna try the clay way. Then look what;s best.

Today I've sprayed a couple of layers of Matt Varnish (Andrea) so the only things I have to do are the tracks and wheels

Looks Awsome Lars!!! Really like how you did the storage. And the weathering blended it all really well. How is the dio base going for this beast? Got any more progress on that?

keep us posted!

Thanks! For now, I´m trying to finish my Stryker, leopard and Abrams before the 16th of Octobre. Then I´m gonna order modern soldiers from the US. While they´re on the way I´m gonna pick the base up. So I´m able to change the base to the figures.

Today I've made a mixture of Mig pigments light and old rust and alcohol. I sprayed this with my ab. This is the first time I tried this technique and it worked very well. So now the tracks are sprayed in a rusty color. Tomorrow I will paint the rubber pads dark grey and will drybrush some parts. Pics will be placed after doing this.
