Tell me what you think. I know i didn't do the track very well still learning on that technique.

I usually don't comment as I am not confident enough in my own work to comment on others but:
Basically I like your work, especially the weathering. Is this the basic Tamiya kit? You don't ofetn see the later hull with the applique armor. Having said that, I have done a kit like that myself, and one of the Osprey books shows an M4A1 (W) with the applique, and I have seen a photo of a late hulled Sherman that might have applique armor.
I would tighten up your track a little (maybe one link)
I would buy a P/E set and put on the periscope guards. They can be a pain but they really add to the final model.

The tank looks pretty good. Only much chips in OD would be good and the camo net looks a bit thick. But i like it.

Looks very good to me with all the natural scratches.
What did you use for the white wash and how was it put on?

The scheme looks great! Much better than my first (and only!) attempt at whitewash.
There are a few errors in construction/finishing, such as the applique armor (curses on Tamiya for including those plates that have messed up THOUSANDS of Sherman models all around the world all these years), the position of the wrench on the engine deck, and the color of your taillights (only the left upper one should be red, the other 3 gloss black). Some extras like better grab handles, opened periscopes, and periscope guards would improve the overall look. But if this is mainly just an experiment for your painting, then I think you did a great job.

Basicly, you`ve got all the right bits in all the right places, the paint job is good, could do with a little bit more smaller chips around the hatches etc, a few rust streaks here and there, but other than that very good,
you could try changing the hesian you have used for netting , I use the insudes of bandages, pretty cheep, and easily available from chemists.
bit more practice and you`ll havde it sussed!!!
well done,
malc.

the white wash was watered down, flat white paint. Applyed with a brush and just slopped on.
