T-72 Tracks Color ??

What color recommendations and processes can you give me to paint my Friul T-72 tracks? For WWII German I usually go with a Tamiya
XF-64 basecoat,but I don't know what would be appropiate for modern Soviet treads.

Russian tank tracks are delivered coated in a bituminous black preservative paint. It will wear off the high point of the track quickly but probably remain in the recesses, unless the vehicle is being driven in sandy conditions (in which case the whole track will be scoured to bright metal).

Thank you Gerald,I guess a basic oily black over the friul metal tracks,some washes,and sand some paint off the high points??
