I present my second attempt dio, it´s for my IT-28. I want to do a river wint resin, fist layer fine, add plant motifs acuatics, more add resin and the end add Gel to modular water (no flat resin)...

WOW, the sceen looks so real - specaly the rocks and the trees.

Hi there

The scene looks nice. You've done a fine job on the rocks and the riverbed. The model also looks great - the weathering is good looking.

It looks like a dio that presents a vehicle, and not so much a story. Perhaps there should be something going on on the other side of the river? Just a suggestion.

No experience with working on watereffect, so I cannot help you there.

Anyways, good luck with it and thanks for sharing it.

Hola Fernando,
Your technic for the water is a good one, take care to do real waterproof sides, protect your lunbgs from the fumes (work outside) and don't touch the resin before it's being completely set (1 week).

Fernando, you have done a superb job on the IT 28, very realistic looking. Love the river bed.
To add to the story as Simon suggested, you could have a guy on the other side looking under the bridge to check placement of the bridge. The 2 guys don't look like part of the scene, (not sure if this is your final placement) maybe have to guy pointing down stream, better location for bridge? or maybe back at the tank giving orders to the operator.
Don't forget to add depressions in the snow for that heavy beast, and a little snow on the trees, tank and bridge. Looking forward to seeing more progress on this one.

Bruce: Exactly ... I thought about various options to put figures, as described.

Jejejejeje, there will not snow (which I also thought), what you see is the white paper mache that used to the ground. (Optical effect ...). The ground i´sn´t to work and unpainted.

I don't know what the rest thinks, but I certainly don't call this a beginners diorama. There are many experts that don't make such nice rivers.

Bob: To make the river I have made many tests to get something real. The secret of the vegetation is to use materials from nature, All material is natural.
Whenever you walk through the bush'm going stares at the floor until I crash with a tree, jajajajajaja.

Lars: Beginners is because it is my second attempt to make a Dio, or rather a good "Base" my tank IT28 (the first left no good), took a long time with it because I have no hurry to make ...

I totally agree with Lars, your river looks very convincing and to some extents its ground cover is too, if you add a good balance between elements and a eyecatching scene, I certainly don't consider yours as being a beginners' diorama!

very good job!

You have some plants in there who will turn brown. I had this "beginner " experience in one of my earlier dios.
To be on the safe side i would colour every plant. That's what i am doing now.

Please give us more infos on your trees and a bettre picture of it

JBA: Thank you for your comments, they are more coming at you .... your comments and your work has been my reference and it will be ... I had any problems with water color, because I put a lot off White inside water (jejejejeje)... but little-little.

no

"credible" you mean? well, there's something very sweet, Switzerland like about your dio, that must be the very nice little flowers, like I told you once, we are abit in a Communist ideal dream there
Otherwise, think about putting a bit of matt coat on the figs maybe..

All in all, I think this a is very good diorama as far as beginners go. There is no major mistake or anything like that. Inded there is colours and a very nice balance between the elements, really I think you should be quite proud indeed.
What you have to learn now is getting a bit more realistic about the colours and atmosphere, learn to undo the ground cover so that it looks like real nature, maybe blend tanks in their surroundings better etc etc, but you've got time for that!

Very nice work Fernando i really like the layout of the scene and the water is very well done with the added vegetation.
The scene gives me the impression of a meadow with the lush green grass so maybe you could throw in some meadow flowers of different colours to go with the white ones.if done sparingly with reds,yellows etc it could add to the overall scene.

Overall very nice work .

I begin by saying that I am very happy with the work accomplished, and I think I've learned a lot in the good and bad. This is my real prize.

Kelly: I'm glad you like it, in general.

JBA: No hare if any modification, and if I do something will be small. I turn the page and begin another job with a lot of illusion. Get the balance is not as easy as it seems ...

Steve: Just remove any white flower and get other kinds of vegetation, including flowers of other colors.

John: It's what we tried to represent something natural and real, and has been a great challenge
