Hello friends, this is a small vignette I am now working on, in English it's named The tank hunters are there !
I made a round and simple base by using a can (chocolates), filled with isolation foam and finished with a layer of plaster, pigments, thinned wood glue and sand, small pebbles...
I added small trees and I gave the whole thing a black layer of alcyd paint as a base coat. Protected the presentation base with plastic tape for next treatment : tones of brown were airbrushed on (trees, ground work).
Grasses, herbs were glued on.
!!! Do not mention the colors of the flora, I only wanted variation in structures, the colors will be airbrushed on later.
Greetz ! G.

Nice piece.
You've done a fine job on the groundwork, which almost takes the attention from the figures. They too are nicely done.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Guy,
I really like this, it's simple but effective, captures the scenario very well!! The groundwork, and figures are great. When you say " Do not mention the colors of the flora" does that mean you're going to airbrush ALL of it later, or just some of it? The colours in the foreground are really well suited, and blend the soldiers camoflage into the scene very well. The trees do look cool too, a really nice little vignette!!
Cheers,
SIMON

Jimmy : it's called sea foam here. I used it to make fine branches. Tx !
Simon : tx !
Milvehfan : tx !
Steve : foam...sea foam. Tx !
Simon : I will paint it all, every detail. Tx !
Bob : tx !
Art : I used to make my dioramas too big. Now I can fully concentrate on small details.
Progress photos :
The figures are not glued on yet, still have to fix the K98 sling (oops !).

This is a very nice little piece. Nice & compact, and you don't loose focus on the main characters. The flowers are a nice touch of color, and they give the sceen a feeling of Spring. Nice contrast to the hell the two soldiers are about to unleash on some unsuspecting tank.
Interesting use if a chocolate tin. I like the idea. I've seen people use peanut butter jar lids, too.

Another beautiful piece of work Guy !!!!
The landscaping is stellar only to be equaled by your figure work.

A lovely little vingette.
Your groundwork is superb, something I wish to aspire to. Very impressive. Also your figure painting is great.
My one issue would be that the two figures do not seem to interact very well, in my view they should be either looking at one point (ie. an approaching sherman!) or each other, as it is, they both appear to be looking at different points of the ground. Perhaps they are admiring how lifelike the plants are!
Great work all the same,
James

Thank you all again for your kind, but also hopegiving responses ! I appreciate this a lot.
James : There is a bit of interaction : "Shoot the Panzerfaust now, you idiot !", shouts the Sturmgewehr gunman at his friend, while covering his back. That's how I see it, but I'm sure it can always be done better.
I had a lot of fun making this small vignette, you can see the final result in a newly opened thread.
Bye my friends ! G.
