I need tips on how to paint an AFV. Do you paint with or without the bogies and or turret?

Turret and hull seperately. No tracks or road wheels attached. Thats my way, i'm positive other people will tell you something different.

Me i tend to put most of the model together then paint it and save a few pieces for final assembly and then i do all my touch ups and aftermarket detail work. with the tracks i use some clamps to hold the ends together then i melt the pegs and take a narrow stapler and put two staples on and paint over then thens thats it.

Plaid acrylic craft paint - brown oxide. Great stuff, 49 cents for a 2 oz. bottle.

I have yet to paint any type of vinyl tracks, thanks for the info.

I agree... I picked up a bottle of the brown oxide last week. It does the job on the tracks nicely.
