AWWWW! I was hoping to see the interior of the tunnel, wanted to see if you used 2 step Charlie we talked about. Did you find out anything about making thatch for the hooch roof? Maybe some texturing and a brownish yellow paint to make it look that way.

I havent been working on this like I should spring time came and summer is on its way. If i spent as many hours on modeling as I do on my yard I might get it a few done as most people on here i have some 80 % done I trying not to let this happen on the cu-chi tunnel dio . If you ever try scratch building a thatch roof. This is the methed I used I took plaster of paris mixed it kind of thick (it will thicken as it sets up just use good judgment on the mixture)than I took an old paint brush and brushed it on to card board and leveled it with craft stick. I than took an old 1in brush a put the texture by draging it threw the plaster. It has to be done sort of fast or it be to hard. Kfmagee are you talking more progress since I posted these or some in between the first two progress post . Well any I only some when I first started and these that are here. Flakdog maybe Ill Have it done by this month.

I realized the size but I was to far into the project to scratch it and start over I supposed I would have for a contest or something but not to many people see my dios mostly you folks. For some reason the tunnel look alot bigger in the pics. Ive only been doing this for about a year you learn from mistakes this is what makes you better. Im now doing a little more research before I start a project. Thanks for all the comments.
