Hi there,
I found a picture of LAV-C2 version with some unusual mount on its right side. It does not seem to me like RWS (Stryker type), but probably something similar...please be so kind and help to identify!
Any possibility, that LAVs (turretless ones) in Iraq use the RWS???
Thanks for your reply

Jiri,
That is the command variant and the weaponless turret that you see is the targeting system used by the FAC/FO (Forward Air Controller, Forward Observer). I'm not sure of it's nomenclature.
Begin Edit Not to say that remote weapons stations aren't possible because I've seen tons of modifications some that will make it to the user and some that will not. End Edit

I've seen some photos of Aussie APC ASLAV with RWS. Search Australian Goverment, Department of Defense for lots of great photos.

It's not a tow launcher, and I work for GD. I will try and dig up the nomenclature of the system.

I didn't say it was a TOW launcher, I said it had the thermal/night sight from one along with a GLDS for lasing.
Gary,
Sorry about that, I totaly misread the other post. I saw Tow and GDLS instead of thermal, GLDS. Man to many hours out on the range here at YPG.

Lucky you, hanging in the garden spot of the U.S.A., lol. How's that article comming on the LAV-25A2?
It's coming along. I thought that I had it finished a couple of times but I keep re-reading it. I don't want to release too much info (OPSEC). Trying to walk a fine line.
