Ola guys

I'm looking for a little help here. Currently while I'm painting my signal troops I'm also doing some research about Factory buildings and their contents. I'm looking for big machines here. I have looked around on google but don't know exactly what I'm looking for. Therefore I have not yet come accross something that suits my idea of big Russian Machine. I have found enough ideas for big pipes and such on the web but what is really missing are some good ideas on a big chunky industrially looking machine. It does not neccesarily have to be pictures of Russian Machines or Stalingrad machines persé as long as they are big and more or less fit with the period.

Hope you guys can help me out a bit on this.

With friendly greetz

Robert,

This is just one site that I found on a quick search.

Hope this helps some.

Here are a few older ones :

There's a nice 40's hydraulic press HERE

In case you also need some smaller machines pics, you can also take a look HERE

Ford factory 1927 :

General Motors factory 1937 :

Ola guys

Steve
Thanks for the link mate. I have browsed a bit around and there are some big machines on there. However I´m looking a bit more for older machines. Like the machines used in the early part of 1900´s. Quite possible that such machines are in the link you have added but I could´nt find it. The style of machine I´m looking for are like the ones Frenchy posted.

That is exactly the stuff I´m looking for. Those pics and links are brilliant. Some of those machines are massive. I don´t think I even ever have been near a machine that big. Like that Helmet? press in picture 1 and the big press at the Ford plant. I already did a lot of saving to my HD and I´m now browsing through that link with the smaller machines. Some good inspiration can be found there. Thanks a lot

You're welcome Robert ! I've also found many interesting pictures of a British ordnance factory HERE like the one below :

I know it's a WW1-era factory, but maybe some WW2 soviet factories did not have up-to-date machinery
You can also take a look at StahlArt, a website that deals with industrial and architectural photography (there are some impressive steelworks pics there...) StahlArt
