Thanks guys, glad you like it. The trees are by Lemax(Christmas scenery-I love post holiday sales!

).The thing is,the trees are pretty crude out of the package(they are very simple to make wire armature type) so I first gave them a light gray wash to tone down the stark white they come in. I then took some dried floral strands that were kinda springy and still somewhat soft,I don't remember their name

,nuked them in the ol' microwave till rigid dry, and then sprayed them with a light gray.Seperate these and attach with CA glue. The snow is Woodland Scenics and I mixed it with Future to make a paste before I applied it. A brush of straight Future to smooth it in as undisturbed drift or scrubbed in with a beater brush to make the snow look stepped on and kicked around. I used Future because I know normal white glue can turn yellow as it gets kinda old.

The base earth is taper's mud, sand, small pea gravel, and a large shot of acrylic burnt umber. The forest floor humus is nuked dried flowers and assorted common spice flakes that I shoved in a surplus coffee grinder for a second or two. Still didn't look winter dead enough so I died it with a strong burnt umber wash in a tupperware bowl and then nuked it dry. Waahhhh-laaaahhhh.
Will try to get some more pics up tomorrow.
Cheers!
