Hello
This is my very first building that i have done. In fact, i am very new to military modeling all together. i have started working on a tank also, but that is all i have ever done with military modeling. I still have quite a bit to do on the building, but this is where i am at now. there are some spots that need touchup, but i didnt see it until i took the pics as they are very very small spots.
I am waiting for the railings to arrive and i am going to print a propaganda poster tomorrow an put it on too. i will also be putting in busted windows soon. i will do the touchup tomorrow.
eventually i will be putting it on a base with a street and some soldiers and a tank or 2.
i am very happy with it up to now as i mentioned before this is very very new to me. i hope you like it

Coming along nicely!
Some advice from an ex- newbe:
Verlinden and other brands also sell separate rubble and bricks for ruined houses. That helps to make the ruin more realistic. Compliment with fe cat litter.
The building depicts a house in "Fachwerk" style. The wood planks are actualy heavy square beams that form the structure of the house. Be sure to paint them as square beams on the broken side instead of flat planks. This style of architecture is seen in Germany and France.
You can add a simple interior (floors, window frames, etc) from fe balsa wood, it's fun to do.
See the Verlinden productions site and fe Plusmodels.
Looking forward to the next update!

Nice start.
One thing to remember as you go is to do a 'wash'. Mix a thin batch of dark brown/black and run it along the creases/recesses. This add depth/shadows and gives a better 3D impression. It also fills in a lot of the small areas a brush just wont get.
Make sure you touch up the ends of the beams where they are broken.

thanks man,
i forgot to mention, the floor is stained using coffee. its a neat little trick if you dont want to buy a whole can of wood stain. my wife has instant coffee that are in tea bags, i just put it in hot water, and dripped the water onto the wood, then used the coffee back to smear it on.
my hands smelled like french vanilla coffee, but the floor came out pretty good i think
