This is the Tamiya kit, production turret + Eduard PE set. Started it a while ago, I made the breech of the cannon and limited details that are visible from the open hatches, but I was totally unhappy with the paint job,so it was never finished. So now I`ve stripped it bare of paint, loosing a lot of PE in the process.I had to fashion some lost details and reattach the PE that came off. At that point,I`ve decidet to do a fictional build,a late Tiger II which has different parts attached so it will be operational. I have used the sheet metal modification over the exhaust and intakes

The tracks are in two pieces so I can remove them at any point

I need help from somebody...I have no idea where I have placed this topic,so it would be appreciated if it can be moved where it belongs,in the 1:48 section...

and now,something completely different..

since this i s a what if,I have played a bit with the camo, using octopus scheme only on the body, leaving the turret in base green and interior red oxide primer.the chipping was deliberately done over the top,it is shining because a filter session is to follow, than washing and painting of small details and caterpillar assembly

Very nice Tiger II. What did you use for masking? The blue tac (patafix)? I see it's a "late" one so the wooden block and the tracks mounting cable shouldn't be there but it doesn't really matter. Great job.

Very nice build, had to remind myself that it is 1/48th scale. Love the camo pattern.
