Hey all,
I finaly finished the Academy M151A1C (see the Blog for in progress shots)
Lots of work, but end result was worth it.
Added various crew items, a few resin bits from the Legends M151 update, and some scratchbuilt 782 gear from paper and card (ammo pouches and canteens from various figure kits). Some final chipping with a #2 pencil, Mig pigments dust, and other detail painting. Map is from Real Models.
now, for a beer while I comptemplate what M151 to do next!
Enjoy and feel free to comment!
Andy

Yet another fine M151-variant build, Andy! The details are impressive; I especially like the pack of smokes in the helmet.
BTW, I'm still gawking at the soldered brass steering wheel.

Thanks to everybody for the comments! If your going to IMPS Spacecoast here in Florida this weekend, you can see it first hand.
I still cant seem to get the color ballance on my camera right for those yellow/orange pigments..always turn out way to contrasted in the photos.
Well...next MUTT may be a M151A1 w/ 50cal being fired by a marine from the side (saw a picture somewhere, but its also inside the front cover of "Jeep gos to war". Looks like the Mutt is in an ambush as one of the tires looks a little flat and the whole vehicle is leaning to the side the Marine is braced on. That, and im slowly cleaning up all the parts for a OREV conversion....then there is a USMC TOW, and a hardtop kit...oh, and an ambulance....
For those that are interested, Im seriously looking into producing some detail parts comercialy...some resin upgrade parts for MUTT kits (along with lots of other stuff). Any interest?
