My completed Hovet. Out of box built, only added sand bags set from Legend. Plastic link tracks supplied were full of sink holes. Too lazy to fill & sand, therefore did not use them. Installed a set of old tamiya vinyl track instead which has gone out of shape.

Looks pretty good. Right rear light should not be red though. Only the left side has a red lense. The right has two slits that appear black. When did Academy put out a Hovat kit? Or is it a combo of their M163 kit and left over parts from their M113 Zelda kit for the M113 commo vehicle? Look good either way.

Hi Gino
Good observation. You are right it is actually a M163 kit ( thrown away the box with the crappy M163 drawing long ago) with storage bins from one of my Zelda kit which was converted to the Zelda 2 with the "toberone" side armour.
The more I look at it I think I need to replace the vinyl tracks.
Thanks for looking.
