Does anyone have any detail photos of the CMK OIF Army/Marines infantry figures. I have done many searches and all I come up with is the unbuilt ones in the bag.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Even thoughts on the quality would help.

I don't have any pics of the figures, but I have built their other figures before. I don't really like CKM figures. The casting is rough and their sculpting is very sharp with deep undercuts and hard angles. They don't look too realistic to me. Too many sharp angles and edges to soften out. Their detail isn't the best either. They are definitely on the lower end of the resin spectrum.

Can you post some pics of the ones you HAVE built?
I have purchased a few items from CMK and was quite pleased with them. I haven't had a look at their figures, but knowing that they're not that good is a help. I'll be shopping around for OIF figures soon enough. It would be a shame to waste mnoey on their stuff.

I don't have any pics of them. I built them on consignment and decided I would not use them myself. I have a few sets unbuilt that I am trying to sell/trade though. I have their US Airborne I and III (UH-60 Crew) (ODS-era infantrymen deplaning a Blackhawk) and SF team (2 ODS-era SF guys). They look like this:

Make me an offer and they are yours. You can see some of my wants here.

Yeah, based upon those photos, some of those guys could use some time on a squat rack. they look a little anemic.
I do think the company owes me a royalty. The guy hunched over underneath his ruck gasping for breath - I could swear that's me.

Robert ,

I picked up a few oif figures, I thought the figures had been detailed pretty well but a little converting never goes astray .

Here are some of the unbuilt photos of what I have done .

Cheers

Thanks Mike! They are looking great.

I ended up buying set #1 last week..

I agree they are rather well done and I too have plans to convert set #1 so the arms are not in the “hold” pose. I would rather they hold their weapons.

I did find that these guys are a bit larger than my Helo and Verlinden figures, so no mixing with those guys. Not that they can mix with Helo, CMK figs are most def early OIF.

Robert,

sorry for the late reply but the CMK OIF figs can be placed in the right spots on a dio

They are land of the giants stuff compared to blast figures, but the forces do take all shapes and sizes

I ended up dremelling out warrior and verlinden modern heads and inserted the hornet heads .
Now all I'm waiting for is someone to release some photoetch modern helmet straps and I can get to finish this huge dio off .

Mike,

Who makes the light gray guys in the mid backgrond of your photos?

Rob,

Blast and nemrod are in the light grey .Both have outstanding resin quality .

The figures are combination of warriors, cmk, verlinden, nemrod ,all which are very nicely sculptured.

The only problem I have found with using so many resin manufacturers I found
the Verlinden resin hard to trim ,it has a tendency to crack if you are
trimming small parts .

The light grey resin is very similar to what Alpine use.
This is ideal for resin figures .
