Hey guys,
need a little help, does anyone make WWII aircraft in 1/35th scale???
i have an idea for a dio for the May 31st MMCS show in Louisville but really would love a plane or partial plane in the correct scale and with all of the work ahead of me really don't feel confident in trying to scratch build one.
it wouldn't need to be a whole plane either, wing and partial body would be great.
also does anyone sell 1/35th WWII era civilian autos?
please any help would be greatly appreciated,
thanks for your time,
Gary Smith

Gary -
Can try over on the 'Aeroscale" side for better info, but the only 1/35th WW II aircraft kit that I know of is the Tristar 1/35th Fieseler Fi-156 'Storch'. It's a liason type aircraft, and it is kind of pricey. I'm sure their are a couple resin civilian auto kits, but I'll defer to those more knowledgeable.

1:32 is a common scale for A/C and it works alright with 1:35 figures and vehicles. Sure it's a bit larger in scale technically but the difference is not really noticeable, particularly if you are only using a part of the A/C

You're pretty out of luck on a specific 1/35th scale plane.
However, there have been some very nicely composed multiscale/multi subject (AC/Tank) dioramas. You just have to put the larger plane in the 'background' of the story and don't put smaller figures in it like the injected Tamiya guys.

thanks guys,
i kinda figured that would be the luck, i guess 1/32 will have to work, with dragon figures. either that or just scratch build a wing and part of a hull.
thanks again,
Gary

Bronco has released a 1/35th scale Piper L-4 Grasshopper (kit #35014)
You can also find expensive 1/35 diecast WW2 aircraft made by GMP like the P-51 or the P-40 popping up on eBay...
If you're not on a budget, Wespe and Des make resin 1/35 th scale WW2--era civilian cars

Hi Gary,
I remember the brand (i think it's called ) "Gunze" , which is now out of business.
Every now and then one of their kits pops up on ebay and it depicts a Luftwaffe pilot running from his crashed aircraft.
However, same story..1/32 scale!!
Good luck with your idea.
Shay
