Okay...this subject matter was dear to my heart. Being that I was born on the day of the first Gemini launch. So when I saw this great diorama on another site I just had to contact Bob and ask him if we could display them here. And he said "Sure, no problem".

So check it out. Yes it's not technically a military diorama. But rest assured those are military divers and a carrier is not to far off in the distance. hehe

Gemini 7 Recovery

Congrats to Bob for a very successful re-creation and thanks for the permission to show your work and for joining up here at Armorama!

Cheers,
Jim

It may not be "technically a military diorama", but this was a pleasure to see. The whole concept and finishing is excellent. The water ...... oh the water....... this will be talked about for some time to come. It is simply amazing! The guys from the dio campaign will be taking note! Thanks Jim for bringing this to our attention. Good man Bob...... as good as they get!

This is the best dio-idea I ever seen! Bob, I like the way you did the water, it is amazing! Other water-dios I have seen haven't got transparent water, so I like the your idea with this sort of water water.

What's to say that hasn't been said? Great water, both in terms of color, shading, and shape... and a great concept of "above or below" viewing.... really enjoyed you sharing this with us! We have some DARN talented people on this board!
