Anyone know a good place to find Modern US AFV crew figures short of kitbashing? I'm looking for heads with the right style helmet and/or torsos. Thanks in advance for any helpful or unhelpful advice.

DML makes a set of 4 armor crewmen. It is kit #3020 and is the same set that comes with their M1A1-HA #3517. Verlinden also has several sets of modern crew figures:
1. U.S. Tank Crew 1980s #133 (just ½ figures) in BDUs
2. U.S. Tank Commander 1980s #125 in BDUs and base
3. U.S. Tank Commander Special Anti-Blast Suit #325 (Nomex and two heads)
Tamiya has modern US crewmen in their USMC M60A1w/ERA as well as in the M60A3TTS. There are also two TC figures and two ½ figures included in their Modern U.S. Accessory set #35141.

I'm with Sabot on this one. Grab one of the Dragon kits.

I purchased over 200 figures (in parts!) from a fellow in Hong Kong a while back. Let me see if I can find some modern tanker heads... most of the figures came from armor models, and he had the good foresight to label the bags of figure parts for the tank they came from... so anything from an Abrams kit should work, right?
If i find anything, you will need to send me your address. While I'm at it, do you need torsos, arms, legs as well? I have a huge box full of this stuff! You cover the mailing cost, the pieces are free.

Tankers wear CVC's not the helmet so you get by with even the KOrean Armor crewset from Academy recommend the Dragon stuff though, much cheaper than Verlinden! Of course KFMagees offer beats it all to death.

Hi!
Seen a few U.S. tank crew on 1:35 scale by Tamiya...There was also one from Academy...I'm not sure, but I think that was from the Vietnam War...
This is kinda off tpoic, but I've also seen Al Qaeda tank crew in 1:35 scale here...You'll notice them easily....They don't wear any special military headgear, they wear turbans...Really....I'm serious...

Hey, ya'alls. Thanks for the good info. I also thought I might try converting the CVCs from Academy's IDF Tank crew set to U.S. style.
