My next 'hip deep' project is Academy's M551 Sheridan. So far I have the kit, Fruil tracks, Eduard PE, and a nice resin stowage set.
First, can someone recommend a good photo reference, particularly with color photos? I'm interested in the weathering as much as the technical aspect (I just watched the move Hamburger Hill and the word MUD is vividly imprinted in my mind).
I also want a few riders on my tank. I'd really like them without flak jackets. Can anyone think of a set they really liked, either resin or injection molded?
Thank you for the help. I'll put up photos when its done. Don't hold your breath....this one's gonna take a while.

For close ups, PM me the particular part(s) you want a close up of, with your email address.

Some areas need more help than others:

Guys in CAV units rarely wore flak jackets as they were sudden death if you got shot. What they did do with them was to set on them, and wear them to keep warm during the colder monsoon nights

By the way, Toadman offers a great CD with detail images of a restored M551. I bought one last year, and it was a great help. It is of a present-day vehicle, not in a VN setting, but the detail is outstanding.

And no, he didn't pay me to say this!!
