The AFV Club M1130 Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) version is the most accurate and complete. It has all the parts from their earlier M1126 ICV (Infantry Carrier Vehicle) plus new, more accurate PE (including perforated shock covers), and it comes with extra resin and plastic parts for a TACP vehicle as well. It will build up as either the M1126 ICV, an M1126 Command Vehicle, or the M1130 TACP vehicle.
None come with the Slat Armor seen an all Strykers deployed in Iraq though. You have to rely on AM PE for that. That is a whole other discussion.

Yeah just like the others said AFV is the better of the two. I also like to say that the Trumpeter kit isn't all that bad. Yeah it has many faults in size and it's biggest problem is the RWS (Remote Weapon Station). If your looking to just bang out a Stryker and not wanting to spend the money on a kit then Trumpeter is that kit, again it still builds nice and looks somewhat decent. Here’s one I did before the AFV kit was released.
As to what Gino said, yes get the M1130 kit as it has the extra PE and the Blue Tracker in resin. But here’s what you’ll need to look for…the M1130 kit w/ PE was a limited release only. You need to look for the sticker which was on the box top…”Special Parts First Edition Only”. I’m seeing more and more of the M1130 without the sticker in sale.
One other little thing, if you want to build the M1130 into a M1126 you'll have to remove/sand down portions of the upper M1130 hull. I've circled them in red...or you can cover the section with gear as found on the real vehicle.
Here is a pic of the AVF M1130 kit...

Aloha Joe!
Thanks for the heads up on the changes needed to "convert" the M1130 back to the ICV version. However was there not differences along the side of the hull. I thought there was an exit hatch along the upper side portion of the hull that was shaped differently. I'm not sure, quite possibly a brain fade on my part.....
Thanks in advance!!

Thanks Kurt, yes I forgot about that part. In the M1130 kit you get an extra sprue, "N" and it has the M1130 side piece which you won't need. It does come with the M1126 side piece just like the M1126 kit...basically what comes in the M1126 is what is in the M1130 but with the new sprue "N" and PE.

Does anyone know when the Dragon kit wil be released? I saw an option stowage set today which, it was claimed, was designed for the AFV or Dragon version, with no mention of Trumpeter... Which was weird...
As for my comments on the Trumpeter version... It's been a bad day. Fit problems and a RROD on my XBox...
