Hello everyone, here's a few pics of my latest work...I'm thinking of painting the lettering yellow, appreciate your thoughts.

hi Charlie
it's looking grimy! I like your weathering, you've done a good job.
only question I have is should there be a handle on the drivers hatch? I know nothing about this tank so I honestly have no idea.

Perhaps you could tone it down a bit by using some (very) fine steel wool?
I'd also consider the color of the track links - the original color was black they would NEVER be allowed to get so rusty...
As to markings, Red Stars were rarely seen and patriotic slogans (on KV-2s) - never

Use your imagination Jim...this vehicle has been sitting around in the field for a while unattended. As far as the patriotic slogans are concerned, that's what came with the kit so, I used them.
Also Jim, check out the pics on the trumpeter KV-1 1941 packaging box - those tracks are plenty rusty, far more than my build. In addition, I tried to get in touch with the guy named fickenfoo who also has a KV-2 with patriotic logos and a star. Might be time for the truth regarding this subject.

That's an excellent suggestion Tony, and I will try that...mean while, I've done the lettering over in yellow but it's not completely the way I want it. Here's a few pics.
