Hi,
Not too long ago I posted a few in progress pictures of the Tiger-T-34 Hybrid which is going on a "Saving Private Ryan" dio.
Here are a few pictures of the finished model.
Any comments are welcome.
Here is one more in progress picture just to see what happened ever since I finished the paint job.
Regards,
Heli

Looks quite nice. I cannot imagine taking on such a project.
One thing I should point out is the ones in the movie had the drum style cupola. The top hatch was actually made from a 55 gal drum! Your's is more appropriate for the time period, though.

Great work, this would also be a prefect conversion to run alongside the new Formations Odball Sherman conversion for a Kelly's Heroes Dio!
You've done a great job on this one, well done!

Hi Steve,
Great job! I really like your model. Was this a resin conversion kit or scratch built on your part?

Hey guys,
Thanks for the comments! I am happy to read ya'll like the tank.
It is correct that the cupola is not accurate. I mentioned that in a previous post but that was quite a while ago. I had to make a few compromises to make the build easier and the cupola was one of those compromises. Now I regret not changing it! But oh well,... nothing I can do about it now.
Matt, the whole conversion was done by myself. I heard though that there is a resin conversion out there somewhere to make one of these. There is a web address to the distributer of those conversion kits in the previous post.
Anyway it was great fun building this tank, it took quite a while but I enjoyed every minute of it!
Cheers,
Heli

It's a movie prop built for Saving Private Ryan. A T-34 modified to look like a Tiger.
