That truck looks like the FMTV. I knew I included photos of that truck in my new book for some reason.

This is good news. Something new in modern US trucks anyhow. Conversion to tractor and 3 axle 5 ton. Could take years to build a few variants. To bad they didn't do the 5 tonner. Still wishing for a M1070, Mk 48, or Mk 23.
Stewart and Steven 2 1/2 ton M1078 FMTV.

At last, a Centauro! I wrote to Italeri once, telling them that they should produce a Centauro (they're Italians after all), but I guess they weren't interested. Trumpeter seems to do kits of modern vehicles no one else will touch, and we should all be thankful for that. Unfortunately, they sometimes announce these vehicles, then make us wait a year for them while they pump out more overdone paper panzers. Hurry, Trumpeter, and roll out that Centauro!

Yes!!! I'd love to see both of these come out soon, even though I paid about $45 for a vacu-formed Steyr truck to convert into an LMTV when my skills improve. Woohoo!!!
