Below are some images of a dio recently completed. The Trumpeter kik was extremely nice to build and can easily be done on a day off. The figures are Verlinden and Jaguar. The base is styrofoam coated with Windsor Sand paste. The model has been airbrushed with Gunze. The figures have been painted wih Dahler oils. I made the roadsign out of Basswood post, copper sheet for the signs,.....interesting how I spelled out the German word for "field hospital". The Telephone pole was SB from Basswood also and solder for the wires.......the insulators were CA. The groundcover courtesy of Woodlnd Scns. Regards, Robert Liles

A nice little dio Robert, some nice airbrush work on the camo.
I find it interesting how most of the E- Series 'paper panzers' I have seen built are depicted in a winter setting, assuming the war dragged on into the winter of '45-'46. Perhaps Trumpeters box art for the E-25 is to blame?
A great dio however, nice detail touches all around, including the allied armour debris and the 'kill markings' (although these appear to contradict each other as to which front we are on, the debris seeming to be west and the markings depicting Russian armour. Perhaps in this stage of the war things were so tight they were fighting on both?!)
One nit-pick is that the convoy light on the rear should be blue and not red, an easy mistake to make though!
Excellent work an enjoyable little scene!

Fantastic job on the vehicle and the base.
The only thing I'm not too keen on is the lichen. It looks like ..... lichen!

I love the bocage-like pattern. Really nice job on the figures, especially gettingh the pink cheeks suggesting cold. Nice ground work and debris. The "wounds" on the front are very well done with the star burst from the explosion. The bushes appear a bit too green for the rest of the setting. Bare branches might have been better. The one thing I don't like is the heavy pre-shading. I look at the vehicle and have to work at seeing IT instead of the dark lines. I thinks it's because they create really strong, straight lines that draw the eyes along them.

Thanks for the input guys. I really appreciate it. The debris was supposed to look like Allied aircraft wreckage. Al is the only one so far that picked out the names on the signpost that we may be familiar with.
Good point about the preshading as well. I am using Adam's Color Modulation method now and it is much more realistic I think. I dont know if any of you have tried it but I think it is great.
I know there are flaws here but I enjoyed making it. Rob Liles
